Our History
Epiphany of the Lord Parish was established in October 1980 to serve all of Hardy County. Prior to its founding, Catholics in the area had to travel some 40 to 50 miles over the mountains to attend Mass at St. Mary's in Petersburg. Members of the community initially met in Emmanuel Episcopal Church to celebrate Mass. By the fall of 1981, the multi-purpose building that serves as a church, parish hall, and rectory was completed and the first Mass was celebrated on October 4, 1981.

    We, the parish family of the Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church are energized by the Word, the Sacrament, and the Spirit. We gather together as a Eucharistic Faith Community to worship, teach, and to make Jesus Christ visible to our world. With shared responsibility we go forth to serve and affirm out sisters and brothers to the Faith.
